If there was ever a controversial issue among the hordes of digital camera enthusiasts who need to is "What is the best digital camera brand?". Sometimes referred to as "What is the best brand of digital camera to buy?" But do not be confused with "What is the best camera to buy?". Because everyone knows that regular (film) cameras are far superior to digital cameras. Hang on a sec, or was it the other way around? Who canpursuing these days? Well, before I digress too far from the topic, can take a look at the ancient battle, and see if we can determine which brand is best.
First things first, for the purposes of full disclosure, I must declare that I have, in fact, several cameras. They represent a variety of brands. I have two Canons, a Fuji and Kodak. I must admit that I partially Canon something, but I'll try not to let that cloud any editorial comments I may subsequentlymake.
When the digital camera sales were not available, what is the best mark, according to Amazon.com Canon would be a clear winner. As I write this, Canon produces 18 of the top 25 best-selling cameras on its bestseller list. In addition, Canon held 9 of the 10 top spots, with the top-3, the PowerShot A570 IS, the PowerShot SD1000 Digital Elph and the PowerShot SD850 . Sharing the top 11 spots are made with Canon 2 of the Pure VideoFlip video cameras. Nikon has 2 cameras in the top 25 and the Nikon D40 and the Nikon D300. Panasonic creeps in with a few of the Lumix models, in particular, the DMC-TZ3K and DMC TZ3A. And ends in a strong 25th Place, the old with the powerful Kodak Easyshare Z812IS.
Of course, popular, or not make the best seller is the best brand. It simply means you have the best selling. In this world seems to be with most CanonSuccess. Determine exactly how we would be the best brand? Best service, best design, supporting the best features, best customer, the best picture and best possible user experience are all valid moves. Perhaps a critical / scientific / empirical investigation of all models of cameras, manufacturers would be in order. Let's see if we are in total a large part of the work already by a number of test sites, which take the above properties doConsideration.
A review of a top camera test site at their 5-star category, show 39 Canon cameras, 18 Sony cameras, 17 Nikon cameras, 6 Fuji cameras, 5 Olympus cameras, 5 Panasonic cameras, 3 Pentax cameras and 1 Konica camera. A second camera test site at their top-103 cameras that 46 Canon cameras, 21 Sony cameras, 20 Nikon cameras, 5 Pentax cameras, 3 Fuji cameras, 2 Samsung cameras, 2 Panasonic cameras, 2 Kodak cameras, 1 Konica camera and 1 Casio camera. If anything is giving the overall picture, the top 3 at the end of 85, Canon, Sony is a distant second with 39, and Nikon a very close third with 37th All others had less than 10 highest-rated cameras.
Interesting huh? Canon seems to be dominated by sales and wowing the critics. That's a pretty strong one-two punch. The only reasonable conclusion here is that Canon is the best overall mark and wide. Of course I would never recommend that any purchase> Camera, the only brand. I suggest that is your homework by researching some good cameras. Once you have your short list, and everything else being equal, perhaps you should choose the Canon.
